About
Thompson & Son Construction
For 40 years, Three Generations of Master Carpenters have been building in Middletown & Monmouth County, NJ. My father started building Custom Homes and Additions in the 1960s, and he taught me along the way and I was framing my first house when I was 20 years old, and now Tyler works alongside me.
I'm on the job site every day, and we handle everything from permit applications to final inspections.

What We Do
Our Services
Ready when you are
Get An Estimate
How It Works
How Your Project Runs
Step 01
We walk the space and write a real estimate
Ronnie comes out, measures, looks at what is behind the walls or under the deck, and talks through what you want. You get a written estimate with the scope spelled out, not a number scribbled on a card.
Step 02
We lock the plan, materials, and permits
You pick your materials and finishes, we set the layout, and we file the permit applications with your town. Then we give you a start date and a realistic order of work so you know what happens week by week.
Step 03
We build it and stay until the final inspection
Framing, mechanicals, finishes, and cleanup. Ronnie is on site every day, the job gets swept at the end of it, and we carry the project through the town inspections to the final signoff.
What Clients Say
What Monmouth County Homeowners Tell Us
Sean Benoit
We used Thompson & Son Construction in August 2026 to build a bathroom on the second floor of our house. Ron and his son were great! They were very professional and very nice, it made it easy to plan out the project with them. Our house is an older house and we were worried about dust and debris, but they were great making sure to keep the work area contained and to keep everything neat and clean. The bathroom came out really well. From the flooring to installing the fixtures, it looked great. And just to clarify, there was no bathroom on our second floor, they built it from scratch. Overall, we were very pleased with the finished bathroom.

Ron and his son replaced all the sheet rock in my bathroom and they also took a load bearing wall down in my living room. Both jobs were done professionally. Left the rooms very clean. I was always informed as to when they were coming and was even given advise to other future jobs. Great company highly recommend.
