A Father and Son Who Build in Middletown
Ronnie and Tyler Thompson, master carpenters carrying on 40 years of family building across Monmouth County.
Our Story
Three Generations of Carpenters
My name is Ronnie Thompson and I have been building for 40 years. It started working with my father, who was a custom builder, and the trade got handed down the way it usually does, on the job site. Today my son Tyler works with me as a master carpenter in his own right, and together we run Thompson & Son Construction out of Middletown.
We are licensed, bonded, and insured in New Jersey under license number 13VH12461100. We hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, and we were voted the number one contractor in our area. We handle the permit applications and stay with the job through the final inspections.
Why homeowners call us back is simple. I am on the job site every day overseeing the project, so the person who priced your work is the person watching it get built. We treat your home like our own, with attention to detail, honesty, and integrity.

How We Work
Built on the Job Site
- 01
The owner is on your job
Ronnie is on the job site every day overseeing the work. You are not handed off to a crew you have never met.
- 02
Honesty about the work
If something behind the wall changes the plan, you hear it from us that day, with what it means for the schedule and the price.
- 03
Attention to the details
Clean lines, tight joints, and finish work we would accept in our own homes. That is the standard on every project.
- 04
Paperwork handled
We file the permit applications and carry the job through the town inspections to the final signoff, so you are not chasing forms.
